Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple – Bengaluru

  Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is located on the Balepete Main road in Bengaluru city. This temple was built 250 years ago. This was found by a devotee in Suvarna Mukhi pond near Bannerghatta. This temple was renovated in the year 1992. Sri Kodanda Rama Sannidhi and Sri Mahalakshmi Sannidhi are found in the temple premises. Sree Daksheswar Mahadev Temple – Kankhal

  Sree Daksheswar Mahadev Temple is located in Kankhal town of Uttarakhand State. Sree Daksheswar Mahadev is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. This temple was built in the North Indian style of architecture. This temple was built in the year 1810 and rebuilt in 1962. As per mythology, King Daksha Prajapati was the son of Brahma and had a daughter Sati who married Lord Shiva. Once King Daksha organized a grand Yagya and all gods, sages, and saints were invited except his son-in-law, Lord Shiva. King Daksha insulted Lord Shiva in the presence of Sati feeling insulted for her husband goddess Sati jumped to the fire of Yagya. Lord Shiva then in anger sends one of his Ganas, Virbhadra, a great warrior to Kankhal. Virbhadra chopped off the head of King Daksha. Maalikapurathu Amma Temple – Sabarimala

  This temple is located just 100 meters from the main temple of Sabarimala. Maalikapurathamma Temple is visited after the darshan of Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple. There are two beliefs on Malikapurathamma, that it is the demon that fought with Sri Ayyappan as Mahishi.  Once the demon was defeated, a beautiful lady emerged from the body and wished to remain with Sri Ayyappa.  Another belief is that the daughter of Sri Ayyappa’s guru became a Sanyasini and desired to remain with Sri Ayyappa. As per the Tantric view, pilgrims have to worship Malikappuram as ‘Adiparasakthi’. The main offerings to Malikappurathamma are turmeric powder, (manjal podi), saffron powder, (kumkum podi), jhagri (sharkara), honey (then), plantain (kadali pazham), and red silk.

  Sri Karanji Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located at Basavanagudi of Bengaluru city in the state of Karnataka. This temple was built in the 17 th  century Here Anjaneya Swamy is self-manifested. Sri Sathyamurthi Perumal Temple – Thirumayam

  Sri Sathyamurthi Perumal Temple is located in Thirumayam a panchayat town in Pudukottai district in the state of Tamilnadu. Sri Sathyamurthi Temple is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is Swayambhu who holds a Chakra and Shanku in his hands with 7 feet tall. The Perumal is surrounded by Chitragupta, Dharmaraja and Brahma from his navel, devas, rishis and asuras.
