Kachakanti Mandir – Udarbond

 

Kachakanti Mandir is located at Udarbond near Silchar in the Cachar district of Assam state.

She is an incarnation of Goddess Durga and Maa Kali

She is represented as the empowerment of ‘Shakti’. Goddess- Kachakanti, four-armed, each arm shows variously a sword, a severed head, etc. 

This temple was built in the North Indian Style of architecture.

This temple was constructed in 1806 by Kachari King,  it is believed that the king received the order of building this temple in his dream.

It is believed that visiting this temple fulfills all the wishes of the devotees.
