Sri Hanuman Temple – Sakariya

 

Sri Hanuman Temple is located in Sakariya Village in Modasa Taluka in Sabarkantha district of Gujarat State

Lord Sakariya Hanuman is an incarnation of Lord Anjaneya Swamy

Here he was in a reclining pose

The temple was built in North Indian style of style of architecture and the temple sanctum was constructed as a shikhara.

As per legends, Pandavas stayed part of the time during the 13th year of agyatvas. This is the very spot where Bheem meets Lord Hanuman. In this incident, Hanumanji was in a reclining pose in the form of a huge old ape-man. Here, one can observe Hanumanji mudra, it is the exact pose when he meets Bheem.
